You can look up any Polymarket wallet because positions and trades are public on the Polygon blockchain: Polymarket's profile pages, its Data API and block explorers all show a wallet's open positions, trade history and profit and loss. On Nimb, wallets appear as grey discs on the map and in the largest holders list, with hedged positions netted out.
How do I look up a Polymarket wallet?
| Where | What you get | How |
|---|---|---|
| Polymarket profile | Positions, activity, P&L chart | polymarket.com/profile/<address> |
| Data API positions | Open positions with size, entry price, value | /v2/positions?user=<address> |
| Data API activity | Trades, splits, merges, redemptions | /v2/activity?user=<address> |
| Data API P&L | P&L over time | /v2/user-pnl?user=<address>&interval=1m&fidelity=1d |
| Block explorer | Raw transfers on Polygon | polygonscan.com, search the address |
| Nimb | Largest holders per market, wallet lines on the map | Market panel, holders list |
All Data API routes start with https://data-api.polymarket.com and need no key (Polymarket: wallet activity). More endpoints in the Polymarket API guide.
Which address do I search?
A Polymarket account trades from a Polymarket wallet (a proxy or deposit wallet) that belongs to the account's signer, so the address on a profile is usually not the address of the MetaMask or other wallet that signs. Search the Polymarket wallet address shown on the profile. For your own account, Nimb shows your positions in its portfolio once you connect. How connecting works.
How do I read a wallet's record?
- Net, not gross. A wallet holding Yes and No in one market is hedged. Holding No on every candidate in an election is mostly a locked payout. Count only the part that still depends on the outcome; see net exposure.
- Realised and unrealised. Realised P&L is locked in by selling or resolution; unrealised P&L moves with the price and can vanish.
- Cost basis gaps. Shares created by splitting pUSD into Yes and No, or received by transfer, have no clean entry price. A P&L based on them can be wrong; Nimb shows a dash instead.
- Sample size. Ten winning markets can be luck. Look at the number of markets and how the wins are distributed.
Can I track a wallet automatically?
Yes: poll /v2/activity?user=<address> for new rows, or follow the market WebSocket for the markets it holds. Polymarket also offers authenticated notifications for your own account. Nimb does not send alerts. Copying a wallet's trades is a strategy with real costs: you buy after the price has moved, and you inherit positions you cannot see the reasons for. Polymarket whales, read carefully.
What about privacy?
Polymarket addresses are pseudonymous: the history is public, the person is not, unless they link a name, an X account or an exchange withdrawal to the address. Anything you do from a Polymarket wallet is visible to everyone, for good. Nimb shows public handles as published, and replaces a handle with the short address when it is empty or unfit to print.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find someone's Polymarket profile?
Search their handle on Polymarket, or open polymarket.com/profile/<address> with their Polymarket wallet address.
Can I see a wallet's profit on Polymarket?
Yes, on its profile and through /v2/user-pnl and /v2/user-stats. Treat P&L on positions without a clean cost basis with care.
Can someone see my Polymarket trades?
Yes. Every position and trade from your Polymarket wallet is public on-chain.
Is there a Polymarket profile tracker?
Polymarket's own profiles and leaderboard, its Data API, and third-party dashboards. Nimb shows the largest holders of the markets on its map.
